Once again, I change the basic objective of this site, returning to the original, to wit, the furtherance of good writing, refined literature, and use of the English language. The result of a mingling and uniting of Anglo-Saxon (an ancient Germanic tongue), OHG (Old Hight German) itself, various Celtic dialects, Danish, Old French, Latin, and more, it is arguably the richest language on earth. Sadly, very few who call it their native tongue know more than a smattering of its vast vocabulary. Indeed, in the early 21st century true English is swiftly becoming a forgotten language, being replaced by what is euphemistically referred to as "journalistic prose," and even more corrupted forms fostered by the wont of the masses to abbreviate, substitute acronyms, and otherwise adulterate the spoken and written word.
